Applications

A strip showing the model as a spark of light, the two tools execute_script and get_state, then five thumbnails in one line: a 3D scene for Blender, a spark on a checkerboard for GIMP, a painted dusk landscape for Krita, a drawing of orbits for Inkscape and a letter for LibreOffice.
One model, two tools, five applications: each thumbnail shows what the Hub made in its application.

Each of the five pages below holds one recipe played with a model: the text it was given, the script it wrote, the answers of the Hub and the file or image produced, with the version of the application and what failed first. The guides in the repository remain the reference.

What the five recipes share

A model follows the same calls on every page, in the order of the guide for the model: get_state on hub, get_state on the application, one complete script, then a second get_state for the capture. Only the way the application starts and the script change.

  • GIMP, Krita and Blender run a bridge inside the application, in the tcp mode; the operator starts it.
  • LibreOffice runs a bridge of its own in the uno mode, started by libremodular-launch.
  • Inkscape needs nothing started: in the cli mode the Hub runs one Python process per script.

Each script was written by a model, Claude Sonnet 5.5, from the guide and the state of the application, without reusing a script of the project’s tests. Each recipe was then played again in new directories, twice: the answers were identical apart from durations, dates and the identifiers the applications make, and the images were identical to the pixel, except the dithered gradient of GIMP, which differs by one level on some pixels. Versions come from get_state and are those of the compatibility page.

Where the recipes stop

A recipe shows what one job needed. It does not show every job: the page of each application lists what was not tried. A script runs with your rights in the application’s own Python, and the guard of the Hub stops accidents, not a determined script (see Security).

These five applications are the ones tried, not the scope of the Hub: another application is added through a module, a bridge and its guide, as CONTRIBUTING.md describes, and the code is MIT-licensed.

The applications

Three first scripts worked as written (Krita, Inkscape, LibreOffice). Two ran without an error and gave a wrong result: GIMP exported one flat colour, and Blender rendered the wrong colours. Their pages say what each cost.
